My latest project is underway, looking at the wonderful St Mary's Church, Wolborough Hill, Newton Abbot. This beautiful church dates from around the 14th century and provides a wealth of material from Norman times through to the present day. There are echoes of past parishioners in the lovingly stitched kneeling cushions and the tranquil churchyard provides a record of those who lived in the parish in times gone by.
I will produce a body of work, primarily oil paintings, to be exhibited in the church next year and if anyone has a memory, objects or photographs they would like to share, please get in touch.
